Dyanitos Oberon

20.3.2007 - 3.10.2018

Simon is born for kennel Dyanitos at the Dam's owner, Maija Nissinen in Jyväskylä 2007. Sire of the litter was from the Swedish Shamali kennel. Both Simon's parents were grizzles.

Simon has been the most healthy Saluki. He has been heartscanned 4 times and alwayshad a healthy heart, in all ages. Last scan was made at the age of almost 10. Eyes are mirrored twice and they are healthy too. He participated in the developing of the NCL test by giving his DNA. Test results showed he is free from NCL.

He can eat anything and his stomach never gets upset. His teeth are always clean. Not until he was 10 he had his first ear infection. Unfortunately he broke his frontleg at the age of 8 running down a cliff. A cliff he run down lots of times, but this time it did not end well. We ended up operating his leg too many times. That stopped his show carrier at the age of 8, just when he started his Veteran age.

We were really lucky to manage to win BIS-Veteran and BIS-2 Veteran before the show carrier stopped. What a way to end a show carrier! Simon is an International Show Champion. He has also gained championships in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and one of all the Baltic countries. We call him our "reserv Swedish Champion", since he always just missed the win by coming straight after the winner. This he has done 3 times! One of them at the prestigious Swedish Saluki weekend in 2011 ("Skokloster") with more than 70 males entered and he winning the Champion Class and ending up BD-2. Close does not count! Does not change our enormous love for this fantastic saluki.

He has been to a few Lure Coursing trials and done well but coursing did not suite our family at that time. His sister was a very merited runner, though.

Simon sired the Al Bhazim G-litter born in January 2018.
